The opening toast to Uisge Beatha, the \u201cWater of Life\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DETAILS <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE COLOUR ……………………….Light\/toasted straw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE NOSE …………………………… Citrus\/orange peel, White pepper.  Early hit of alcohol which dissipates quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE TASTE ………………………….White pepper, slight medicinal rather than full on phenolic, salty at the back of the mouth.  Salted Caramel.  One gentleman detected Spearmint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE FINISH ………………………..Sweet with a hint of peat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With some water\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Very smooth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SCORE \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.\u2026\u2026The Gents: 79.2 with guest 78.5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The toast to \u201cThe Clark and the Jackson\u201d and to absent Gentlemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DETAILS <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE COLOUR ………………………….Amber, Light Terracotta, Tawny, reddish Gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE NOSE ………………………………Very faint, almost flat.  Hints of toffee and lavender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE TASTE …………………………….Smoooth with ginger and black pepper.  Sweet but not overly so, light fudge and vanilla.  Somewhat dry on the front of the mouth but quickly smooths out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE FINISH ……………………………A warm toffee like roundness <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With some water\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026I cannot recall any of the Gentlemen spoiling this delightful dram with water!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SCORE \u2026\u2026\u2026. The Gents: 82 (All same score) with guest 82.5  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another unusual evening where the Second Bottle was as good as or better than the First!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evening: the meeting closed at 20hr35 with the Closing Gambit with thanks to our Hosts and a special \u201cThank You\u201d to Guki for the wonderful meal.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n
