The opening toast to Uisge Beatha, the \u201cWater of Life\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

*<\/strong>At this stage I need to point out that Mr. MacKinnon was on a No-Alcohol regimen but did not want to miss out on the meeting.  As a result all he had to offer was his Nose! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DETAILS  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE COLOUR ……..Light Straw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE NOSE ………….Hint of lemon, very feint alcohols, Honey. It was all very hidden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE TASTE ………..Again\u2026.Very hidden,  lemon, nutty, boiled sweets, vanilla. Not complex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE FINISH ……… The finish is short.  Even the usual pepper was almost not there! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WITH  WATER\u2026\u2026\u2026Not advised as it became even more (bland would be a bit harsh) but\u2026  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SCORE \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u202672.25 average.                                                                                                                <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the dessert Mr. RmK stated that the nose had improved and that he could now detect a hint of banana.\u00a0\u00a0The remaining three Gentlemen also thought that the anCnoc had improved on the palate!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FURTHER NOTES\u2026We last had a no age statement anCnoc peated bought in August 2019 and sampled evidently in January 2020.  When I bought the bottle both the name and the canister were familiar to me.  I have since finished the last third of the bottle and found it very easy drinking and if we still had the old Application, I would class it as a very good introduction to Highland Single Malts to the un-initiated.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Evening: the meeting closed at 20hr26 with the Closing Gambit and with grateful and enthusiastic thanks to Mrs VC from Mr JT echoed by the remaining Gentlemen.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
