  1. The meeting not held at the Vaal as was previously adopted, but due to low attendance there, TH brought supper and bottles to the indicated venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The meeting unanimously adopted a revised second toast as \u201cTo the Clark and the Jackson\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The opening toast to Uisge Beatha, the \u201cWater of Life\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    DETAILS <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE COLOUR ……………………… very light, oaked chardonnay<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE NOSE ……………………………Not complex, but includes fruit pastilles, pink sweeties, unripe pineapple, rotting oak & mushroom compost, lemon rind<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE TASTE ………………………….Shy and thin on the palate; thin lemon rind, some honey contrast; pepper grows by the dram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE FINISH ………………………..soon gone, hardly a whisp or reminder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With some water\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026honey comes to the front and top, sweetness holds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE SCORE \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.\u2026\u2026The Gents: 82.2, with a range 80-84.9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE NOSE ………………………………Gun cleaning solvent, acetone with malt layers, burnt matchsticks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE TASTE …………………………….full in the mouth, apricot and strong cherry, light white pepper and dry despite the sweetness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE FINISH ………………………….Stays dry, some salt and pineapple with cinnamon bubblegum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With some water\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026the acetone goes and the finish fades<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE SCORE(says it all\u2026.) \u2026\u2026\u2026.The Gents: 75.3, with a range 71-81.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Evening: the meeting closed at 21:35 with the Close and thanks to our Chair for the effort to remove the meeting to an away game ground to provide an almost full house and memorable evening.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n
